Who here has made enough money thru coins to buy their own jet?

All that money has to be going somewhere. Is there anyone you know who flies around in their own corp aircraft?

As for me it's the other way around.... I've made enough flying to buy a couple of coins......lol.

I made enough money to raise my kids alone, and put them on a bus when they turned 18.

Edit to add : ( I kept their lunch money and fed them spam so I could buy widgets)

I always assumed that some of the big dealers flew to shows in private jets. Who was that dealer who said that he has coin revenues of around $60 million per year? I cannot imagine that he flies commercial.

There is virtually no one that flies to shows on private jets, as a matter of normal practice. There may be an odd occurrence where that happens, but not on a scheduled basis.

Years ago, there were a few that did, but it is not the practice any more. It is strictly an economic function.

I know of a few dealers who in the recent past have seriously considered purchasing fractional ownership or chartering private jets for business travel, but the conclusion is that the way they travel now (commercial flying and shipping inventory by armored courier service) makes much better economical sense.

I have also investigated the logistics of using on-demand jet service and I recall that the lowest rates for the smallest jet aircraft (with low weight and range limitations) will run at least $3000 per hour. The only benefit is that the schedules are more accomodating and there is more access to smaller, more convenient airports.

One last thing...large companies and governments are now buying fewer new airplanes and instead buying and refurbishing retired commercial aircraft currently parked in desert storage at places like Marana or Victorville.

I'd rather have a DeHavilland Beaver. It's more practical. Ask Harrison Ford.

I'm working on it. So far I'm up to about $111.93 profit over the last 5 years!
I've found that it's more economical to just have my wife and 8 kids hop on the back of my new tricked out ride and travel to all the major conventions with me.

Sure, why not? Someone posted above that they are refurbishing worn out old commercial units, and who better fits that bill but Olivia herself?

Besides, she was as nutty as a fruitcake and probably collected trade dollars too, except she collected them during the course of business.
