Wow, I guess when graders have to go over a 2,000 card order, some might get through. All those look like crap except the 80 Topps, but I may have missed something, the other 10's have rough edges or a bad corner.

You can really see rough edges and bad corners??? My eyes must really suck!

Well, then I guess we can only hope for some similar gifts on the group submission.
I know the price differential can be great between the 2 grades but IMO a 9 is a 10 and a 10 is a 9 on any given day. As for the specific examples you are showing I have no idea. I do see the wavy top right edge on the 10 and hope it is the scan.
If we use the others to compare then YES your card belongs in a TEN holder. I think by now we all realize that PSA is just like most other companies ... they take better care of their biggest customers/clients. Is it fair? Of course not. Is it a fact of life? Unfortunately I believe it is.

Personally, I am more old school when it comes to this GREAT hobby of ours. I still LOVE the hobby today, but loved it even more back in the early 80s (when I got back into collecting) BEFORE grading ... BEFORE eBay ... BEFORE one could buy as many cards as one wished from the comfort of ones home! Going to shows almost EVERY SATURDAY and SUNDAY ... driving from one small show to another ... buying cards one at a time ... selling at some of the shows ... THAT, to me, was a better hobby!

Well, thankfully in this instance, the price difference is virtually nothing since the card is fairly unvaluable in either slab.
I just happened to notice it while listing mine on eBay and gathering data from other items on eBay to determine my asking price.
At the bottom left to right your card is off center greater than 55/45. I assume it's your submission, so centering doesn't look bad to you, but how many people want to see 10's with that kind of centering.

I don't disagree. I generally have a reasonable eye and don't play favorites with my cards over someone elses. I've had cards come back as 10's that I've later upgraded to a better looking 10. I hold no delusions that my cards deserve better status than anothers.
My issue is with wondering how that other one got a 10...

Its tough to make any presumptions about any card from any scan. The White 9 definitely looks incredible, and, who knows, with a resub it could get a 10. What I don't understand is the assumption that 4SC or any of the larger submitters somehow get preferred treatment when they get their cards graded. Isn't it possible that they either have a staff of really trained folks sorting through cards or we don't ever see their lesser grade stuff for sale because there's no money in that? I have trouble believing that a company such as PSA would go out of their way giving grade bumps to a huge submitter, but then I just might be a naive fool.

PSA doesn't play favorite. It's popular to speculate that they do, but I can tell you with nearly 100% confidence that they do not. You can ask Roger about that-- he submits more cards than anyone else on these boards (he probably subbed 15,000 last year). I'm probably second only to Roger in terms of volume here, and my grades are also in-line with the results I see other board members posting.
the back suggests your card has a tilt to it. look at the top border on the back. to me it looks like the 248 is closer to the edge of the card than the blue line close to the left upper back corner. maybe its just my eyes.
but i do agree with the person that says a 9 is a 10 and 10 is a 9. that has been my feeling from the start. its a crap shoot on if a 9 becomes a 10 or not.

Centering is noticeably better on the 10, which carries a lot of weight with this issue...the 9 is accurately graded, IMO...an argument can be made that the 10 should be a 9, especially if there is chipping along the right edge, but I have also found that PSA does not often penalize for rough cuts from the factory..if it's chipping, that should be different, though..

The 4sc's card is centered better but is really hairy on the edges.
