I found a very presentable XF piece at a local show for $480. It had some signs of once being mounted but otherwise was ok. The larger gold wholesalers are asking large premiums for theirs.
Keep looking, you'll eventually find one priced near bullion.
Be careful that you don't accidentally spend it as a gold dollar. Also, be sure you show us before pics and the wear progress of your new pocket piece.
