Best place to get a junk Liberty Head Eagle for a pocket piece.

Anyone have any ideas or experiences. Want one with no numismatic premium so damaged ok.

    Even the low grade Lib $10's carry a numismatic premium so this may be difficult. It can't hurt to put a request on the BST forum.

    $500-$525 is about the best I've been able to find recently.

    I found a very presentable XF piece at a local show for $480. It had some signs of once being mounted but otherwise was ok. The larger gold wholesalers are asking large premiums for theirs.

    Keep looking, you'll eventually find one priced near bullion.

    Be careful that you don't accidentally spend it as a gold dollar.image
    Also, be sure you show us before pics and the wear progress of your new pocket piece.
