Stick a fork in Kentucky; we're done. >:( UPDATE: We're now offically NLT bound. :(

I absoultely am disgusted with what I saw tonight (though we did try to make a comeback). No matter, we should've had no trouble whatsoever getting that win against Georgia and we LOST to a LAST PLACE team.image Both our streak of making the Final Four in every decade as well as going to the NCAA's every year since 1992 has now come to an end. Yes, techincally we can still get in by winning the SEC Tournament, but if we can't do any better against a LAST PLACE team, what chance do we have?

I don't suppose we could get Tubby back, could we? At least he did keep us in contention every year. I guess all we can do now is look ahead to 2010 (at least we'll get most everyone back) as well as the 2009 football season.

I just found out they the lost. I was at church, so I didn't get to see or hear it. It is a crying shame that a program like Kentucky can't get any top recruits. If you put Jodie Meeks, Patrick Patterson, me, my brother, and my brother-in-law out there, we would do just about as good. I am very impressed with Jodie Meeks as a player, but him and Patterson is all UK has.

Bring back the Rick Pitino days!

Kentucky basketball reminds me of Notre Dame football - a storied program that lost the ability to attract the top players and
    is now struggling.

Don't look at me! I wanted Tubby to stay at Kentucky! I wonder if we've been hit with the Curse of Tubby for giving him such a raw deal (goes undefeated in SEC and is coach of the year in 2003, comes a double OT short of the Final Four in 2005, but two years later he's gone)?

What's the over/under on how many days till Gillispie gets the ax?
  • Options
    frankhardyfrankhardy Posts: 8,046 ✭✭✭✭✭
He will get the ax tomorrow - mark it down.

Billy Donovan will be the first call. If he turns it down, John Calipari and Rick Pitino will get called. If al three turn it down, Travis Ford will be the next UK coach.

    Just my humble opinion.
