88 P Vam 36 opinions

Hello all

Was looking over this 88 P. The date position is right for a very near designation, but is it slanted?

Second question. Although its hard to tell from the pics, the ear is doubled. My second question is the die chip in the ear. This is not shown on the VAM 36

EDIT
Hopefully this is a better shot of the ear

Thanks for any opinions.

Yes, a very near date position and slightly slanted from the photo.

Die chips can be a function of erosion (dies get old and chips happen). In any case, die chips are not usually listed in the description unless it's necessary.

Thanks Wolf. This appears to be a VAM 36. Strong doubling on the ear. Die chip is a bonus I suppose. Only caveat is the VAM 36 description does not mention a slanted date. I know there are tolerances for near/normal/far positions. But no mention of any wiggle room on slant or no slant designations

One more bump. Interested in hearing any opinions on the VAM 36 with a slanted date.
