I would venture to say it would not be so appealing in hand rotating it under a light. Numiscent has been around for a long time and knows what he is doing. If it was able to get into a slab and bring a LOT more money, then it would be in a slab.

Here are 2 of my Ebay raw buys, both gambles, and both bought at $275 and less.. I scored on both, a " You Suck" on one of them. These are my pics, not the sellers by the way.

ArizonaJack - I can't disagree with your assessment of the coin, but you seem to be making conflicting statements. You say you wouldn't buy this date raw from an expert and yet you bought TWO of the same date raw off of eBay no less. And in both cases you "scored".

I think that his statement is under the premise that the individuals that sold them on ebay were not "experts" and/or "dealers" in coins but more likely someone cosigning an estate or something along those lines.

Obverse could go MS67, but reverse has some tiny contact marks that I think won't let the overall grade go above MS66

I'll clarify
I did not buy these 2 raw from an expert, but just a coin seller in general. An expert who deals in cents would have known the true value, and or had them slabbed. Numiscent is an expert who knows the ins and outs of the copper biz and would not leave money on the table so to speak.
