NEED HELP WITH LOU BROCK RC

I need some help on this Lou Brock RC. I know the card is not perfectly centered, but I have the opportunity to purchse this card at about $100 less than VCP average. I am little concerned about the lower left corner of this card. Does this Brock look real (I.E. non craigslist flip)? Other than the centering, any comments. I am not great with 62's so I appreciate some additional opinions. Thanks in advance.

I think it looks good. Bottom left does look a little weak, probably a lower end 8, but I would take it at $100 off VCP average. Let me know if you pass.

Paging Mike (BoSox1976!)...but the question you have to weigh is this; are you buying it to compete on the registry? If so I would pull the trigger. If you just like having nice cards, I would say wait and spend the extra $100 on a nicer card. It's certainly a lower end 8.

Mike, The card is for my Post War HOF'ers set that I have on the registry, but I also dont buy cards just for the sake of adding a card to my registry. I typically try to purchase cards that I would like to own, regardless if its going into one of my registries or not. Lou Brock is a really tough card, and they dont come up for auction all that often, and certianly for the price, is a good deal for the card on the whole.

Then pick it up and upgrade later...that's always an option too

. That way you have the card in your collection/registry but if a nicer one comes along you can pick it up. I was never a proponent of doing things that way but Ahmanfan has really convinced me that your collection needs to be fluid. Now if I have money and I see a card that want in a 9..I'll buy in an 8. It's almost like putting money down on a 9 later down the line.

I agree. I don't really like it as an 8....I could not call that card better then NM.

I think the card looks good IMO
centering makes it a weak 8 high 7
I don't see an issue with the corner.. I think the scan is playing tricks

Looks like a good 8 to me. Top corners are better than 8, bottom look ok for 8. 65/35 or better. Good flip. Brock is tough to find dead centered, and the orange background comes in many hues. That isn't necessarily a pleasing orange background, but not as pale as others I've seen.

I'd call it an average 8 at a better than average price. I'd pull the trigger.

I have a dead centered 7, but have been waiting for over a year for a dead centered 8 at a reasonable price. That is a really tough card but may be worth it for 100 bucks less.

That Brock is one of the better centered examples I've seen in a long time, but I'm not sure you'll be pulling a PSA 7. Just a bit too much wear on the bottom and the lower right looks like a small corner crease. I'm also concerned about the upper right. Almost looks like it has a touch of color added to it. You may want to take a look at it from the side to see if there is any marker bleed on the edge.
