How would you arrange it? By continent or alphabetically?

It could be done in a variety of ways but I chose alphabetical order.

I think that subdivisions make a collection easier to organize.
For instance, I have a Pacific Rim collection and a Latin America collection.

Geographically speaking, continental would be easier to understand and possibly even allow you to focus on finishing a region or country like Africa. -Dan

By the number of letters on obverse and reverse, then by whether the denomination is numeric or alphabetic.

My "main collection" is sorted alphabetically, by the country name that actually appears on the coins (or the conventional English translation of the name).

My secondary collection (mostly circulated date-mintmark variations of the coins in the main collection) is sorted by continent. For countries with territory in two or more continents, I use the continent on which that country's capital city is located (eg. Russia is in Europe, while Turkey is in Asia).

I keep mine alphabetically. Where appropriate I keep coins from countries that have undergone name changes with their current incarnation. So Ceylon is kept in the S binder as Sri Lanka and Southern Rhodesia is under Z with the Zimbabwe coins.

If you have a Krause, turn to the first country... pick out a coin, buy it, turn page to the next country, repeat

I've got mine divided into: Lightside, Greyside, British Isles, Europe, New World (excluding U.S. & Canada) and Old World (Africa, Asia, Oceania). Works pretty well for my collection.
