Portland ANA
I will be at table #300 and would welcome all attendees to stop by and say hello. Who else is going?
PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.

I do plan to go to Baltimore, and am seriously thinking of taking Amtrak like the CEOs of the investment banks, rather than flying.
Didn't wanna get me no trade
Never want to be like papa

Amtrak is too fancy - you should be taking Greyhound.

Bite your tongue. Even Longacre has his limits during the recession.

<< <i>I will be at the Portland ANA at table #522 and will be happy to see both familiar faces and meet new people! Stop by and pick up my storecard which features the obverse of an 1823/2 quarter.
>>
that quarter (storecard) is screaming "Yo quiero Taco Bell"
Hope I am still employed. One can only guess what the next disastrous step the clowns in power will take to try to create a welfare state.
I'm even thinking about wearing a "fanny pack" for my stuff and a name tag with my Franklin avatar on it.
I'm going to fit right in. I might not even shower for a few days beforehand.

<< <i>I promise you that the Spring ANA will put to shame the pre-show, by far!! >>
Thats what I thought last time it was in Portland. The main show was missing dealers that were suppose to be there and maybe that put a damper on my show experience.
Ken
For those that do not know their way around Portland, I suggest taking Max, the light rail. It stops almost at the ANA convention door. You can catch Max from the airport, from downtown Portland, West of Portland, and East of Portland. There are many free Park and Ride locations adjacent to Max stops. If you want to pay $8 to park in the Convention Center lot, there should be ample room. You will have a longer walk to the convention doorway. Nearby on-street parking is a big gamble.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
<< <i>What is the difference between the pre show and the actual show? >>
The pre-show is not ANA sponsored. I think it is put on by Dave Schmidt, the fellow that puts on most of the shows in the Northwest.
I'll be there, no doubt about it, IF I get permission from the woman.
Dave

......hey, I resemble that comment!
