Do I Get A "YOU SUCK"???

I specialize in toned Barber dimes and found this instead. It was listed
as "1898 Quarter". Guess he didn't see the little "O" on the back. The scans are barely juiced,
saturation set at +23 on a scale to 100. Huge cartwheel effect on both sides, especially the reverse. In hand the obverse is beautiful and the reverse is a monster. Picked it up for $76 and I'm hoping for an honest "you suck".

I'm sorry for the mean comment, but I honestly think that you cannot expect to ask for a "you suck" award based on an image the size of a postage stamp.

boyhowdy, that would be impressive to have a cartwheel luster with that deep toning. If the reverse has that burnt orange/plum combination, I'd say you suck. Absolutely, because cartwheel with deep attractive color on that type for $76 is a bargain.

I had triple hernia surgery last week, and when I read that post, I almost blew out my stitches! As one who's own pictures frequently suck, I can relate to the OP. And hopefully he'll get a real You Suck award once he gets his coin in hand.

If it grades a MS64 at PCGS you get a "You Suck Lite", if it grades MS65 or better you get the official "YOU SUCK!".

No 'You Sucks' if you have to ask, just as MajorDuty states. Heck, I made a top pop 1893 Columbian RPD FS-301, and also own its undergrade sister (there was a single example graded by PCGS as MS63, which I own, then I made the new top-pop MS64, owning the ONLY TWO examples graded by PCGS, which is pretty cool to think about). No 'You Suck' for that.

I got a single W-Buffalo 1/2 oz Proof, and a single 1/4 oz W Unc Plat during the fire sale. Sent in both, and hit numismatic nirvana by making both 70's (PR70DCAM for the Buff 1/2 oz, the key to the Buffalo Proofs, and MS70 for the 1/4 oz Plat, with just a little over 1,700 minted). No 'You Suck' for that.

Once you have ASKED for one, you can NEVER get one for that particular purchase (or if you made it, picked it, etc).

It's not like it WAS, in the past, where members who no longer post or have been bammed handed them out...but that was due to more action. This place HAS been toned down alot since I first started lurking way back, and there aren't alot of 'You Suck's being handed out, not like they used to be.

There are no more 'Tassa Slaps' (being a female, perhaps I or Steph should bring it back).

I know I am forgetting other awards that were handed out (I think Cam had on he handed out), but one should NEVER ask for one....it's just short of giving one to yourself, which you can't do.

UNLESS, as His Madness says, it 65's, then I guess you'd be due one, simply because you ripped a seller and turned a $75 purchase into a $10,000 plus coin.

Yeah, it's a tough crowd here. I cherried the Hit List 40 1904O V-4B in NTC MS65 that "crossed" in PCGS.... No "Suck" awards, just a guy that questioned my credibility; so I provide the scans of it in the NTC slab and he comes back saying that it looks MS63 to him.... Yeah, a TOUGH crowd here.... On a brighter note, I like your piece and think that you "done good".
