If anyone picks up any of these, LMK if you want to any trading. Still need 6 SPs and about 10 of the 52 Topps presidents.

Probably gonna do the chrome set but haven't sorted yet.

I bought a box from my local guy for $60. ZERO hits. I put together most of a base set. Do you have a list of short prints? It looks like the last 25 cards (1971 style) are SPs. I got a bunch of chromes I'll trade for the SPs I need. I definitely want the Michelle Obama card.

I picked up a blaster box of these yesterday and pulled one of those Topps-manufactured presidential patches... I don't really get the point of those, and the American Celebrity cards are particularly unattractive. But, otherwise, I really get a kick out of this set and will have to put a base set together at least.

Great looking cards and very different change of pace, I just picked up a base set cards 1-125 for 10 Bucks off the bay, I think it will make for a nice little binder of cards.

i bought two boes of these yesterday, no swatch cards or autos, just a bunch of dead people, strange cards, i like the designs, cards a r e kinda goofy though, about the guy alive in the whole set is joe nameth and the presidential runners, samuel morse is a creepy looking old dude

im into trading, cause i sure not paying 20$ a box for any more of em, i gonna see what i have and need,
i see why you did good zep- you got the hobby boxes, i just bought blasters, so the blasters suck

Of all the Namath pics, they chose that one? I'd like to see a dual auto or relic card with Joe Namath and Suzy Kolber.
Those presidential patches looked cool at first sight, but if they don't mean anything, what is the point?
Still, it's a cool set. What will they think of next?

I got a hobby box in the mail today and will be opening it later tonight... against my better judgment. If either or both of my "2 relics or autographs per box" turns out to be one of those absurd presidential patches, I'm gonna be honked.

Grumble.

This is such a frustrating set.... It's a good set that with just a little more effort could have been a great set. There are such beautiful cards like these two chromes I pulled....

and the '52 Topps-style president cards look phenomenal ...

... but there are just too many cards, like these, that make you think WTF?

David Cross? Really?

And Philo Farnsworth? OK. But if that's the best photo you can scrounge up, it would seem obvious that you should go with someone else.

I wish the president cards were easier to pull. I would love to do that set. I guess topps is hoping to get people hooked and to open lots of packs!

Just wanted to add that in that hobby box I complied 100% of the base set from 1-125 with 39 duplicates, but 0% of the election SPs (126-150).

There were also...

13 chrome parallels (including 1 duplicate)
4 American Presidents SPs
2 American celebrities
1 presidential relic
1 presidential patch

and all 3 checklists
