can anyone tell me how many matte proof lincolns are currently graded by all tpg's?

isn't there only a few more than 15,000 of all years that have been made?

has there been fewer 1916's made than previously reported?....(600)

would you buy them even if they were not stellar in appearance?......will it be better looking later on as the toning takes it?

Per the Redbook the mint made 17,925 between 1909 and 1916 and that 1 1917 is known. IMO buying an ugly proof kinda defeats the purpose, but that's just me. I'd imagine that with some lower mintage proofs you might not get a chance to buy them very often, but one of the Lincoln guys would know far better than I.

    Redbook claims the following mintages..

    1909 1,194 (VDB)
    1909 2,618
    1910 4,118
    1911 1,725
    1912 2,172
    1913 2,983
    1914 1,365
    1915 1,150
    1916 600
    1917 1 known

I think the attractive coins will always have a following while the "dogs", no matter how rare, are still dogs!

    Just my opinion,

No, nor can anyone else INCLUDING the individual TPGs. There is absolutely no way to know how many graded coins of a particular series have been cracked out and resubmitted (either for an upgrade or a cross). The best that can be done is an answer as to how many submissions have been made have resulted in a new population point.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.
