UHR just went from in stock and reserved to backordered

Just got an e-mail from the mint......I understand how you can go from backordered to reservered an in stock but how do you go from in stock and reserved to backordered. The mints website shows shipping on 2/13.....my e-mail from the mint says shipping on 2/17 and it went through at 12:31

That happened to me early in the game. I was in stock and reserved back in January, and then I got backordered, and that's where I've been ever since.

My order was at 12:48.

I wouldn't worry until after October as the mint said it could take up to 10 months for delivery.

We got to quit trying to decipher there shipping info. My 3084XXXX went from backordered to in stock and reserved this morning.

Just to cloud the issue more, my expected ship day is 2-6, the availibility is 2-13 on their web literature, I'm still listed as "in stock", my order time was just after 1:00. Maybe they haven't caught up to the later orders yet?

I bet there setting up for a mass release because they've learned that a trickle release affects the aftermarket.

The clock dosent start unil the mint sends the first one out, not the date you can place a order.

The opposite just happened to me. I have 2 orders in for these coins (different credit cards, different billing addresses, different shipping addresses). One of my orders 3084xxxx was put in much later than my other order 3083xxxx (and even this order is certainly not a low order number) and went from backordered - 2/17 to in stock and reserved about 10 minutes ago. My earlier order has now been shifted back to 2/17. How can an order placed 8000 orders later be in stock and reserved first? I will tell you why, because the status will change again tomorrow. My prediction is that I will cancel them before I actually ever know when they are coming.

About the same time that mine was placed the first day available. I can wait but the first strike thing is a concern.

That would be interesting if a dozen or so orders went out early and all the rest got delayed by 30 days. Maybe someone at the Mint is not too happy with PCGS or NGC making money on the first strike (or NGC's equivalent) designations.

Mine went to ON HOLD? what does this mean. It was reserved at one time. Is On hold worse than backordered?

That's a new one never heard of that happening before, going from Bo'd to on hold, I think they are really messed up, too bad for those day 1 flippers, they may be hard pressed to meet the 30 day ship requirement....

My order got through at about 12:30 EST and mine says back ordered. Every day I look at the website something changes. Here is what it says now. 30828XXX

I'm controlling quite a few orders and it seems that the ones placed the earliest are the ones being pushed back to the 17th...
UNLESS they're all going to be pushed back and they haven't caught up on their posting.

The orders placed earlier were the orders due to ship by now (originally) Once they get to the scheduled ship date for the later orders, those will be pushed back. It's puzzling as to why they went from in stock to back ordered though. MAybe they found flaws with all of them.

Exactly what they did with the Jefferson First Spouse coins and I am expecting the same with the UHRs.

Why would the Mint care about the aftermarket? If prices in the secondary market skyrocket because of a trickle release, that would just enhance the demand for the lower priced Mint issues. Am I missing something here?

My early order went from the 6th to the 17th and is still on hold and they have never tried to pre authorized my credit card. That tells me they aren't shipping soon. I place another order over the weekend and they immediately hit the card.

Yeah, things are really wacky with this one. I got the same email and dates as Darktone. The expected ship dates are jumping all over the place - backwards, forwards and sideways with no discernible pattern. It doesn't matter what your order number is, I've seen many posts with order numbers later than mine with earlier expected ship dates and vice-versa. I just don't think they've got all the bugs out of the big shipping center move and software change yet.

I still have an MVB proof spouse that has been "In stock and reserved" but stuck "On hold" since Dec. 8. I've talked to 3 different managers who have assured me that it is "In process" and has been expedited, but so far, no change in status.
