Personally, I like this series due to the artistic merit, the fact that many seem to have picked up attractive toning and their relatively low price compared to many other types of coins from this era. a win-win all around!

Great looking coins, that 1920 is sooo nice. I've noticed the French have very artistic coins and banknotes with clean balanced designs.

Aye! There is a good chance that the earlier 'Ceres' head coinage inspired the U.S. barber designs as well.
