Which coins are FBL? Gem FBL from the early sixties are worth some scratch. Gem FBL from the late fifties are cheap.

I don't have ( not a FBL set ) a full bell line set. I'm just wondering if anyone could quote a price on such a set. Someone asked me for one earlier and that gave me the idea to ask .

A complete set of MS64's, sans 53-s, is worth about 2K or so. If you have the 53-s in 64FBL add
another 7-8K.

This is one of those, "How high is up?", sort of questions. I wouldn't begin to give you an answer on that. Some dates are easy to find white, others are not, so you fall into the, "how white is mostly white?", categories. Many of the coins that are gem for some date/mm are from mint sets so they have some level of toning. Let's take a simple example dealing with toner Franklins which is what I collect. Blue sheet says that 1958-D PCGS MS66FBL's are $75. You could EASILY spend ten times that price for a top of the line toner, and '58-D's are a "common" date for nice toners. In a like manner there is white and there is WHITE.

Like any series, over time you start to realize that certain coins look really nice for their respective date/mm, and then as the buyer you decide how high you are willing to spend to buy that coin.
