If this person sold mostly Beanie Babies and vintage clothing, I could understand that. But they sell almost nothing but coins, so this is a lame-ass excuse.

"i see what you are saying. there is defintly something wrong. thank you. i have cancelled auction.

You never know, he may have hoped no one noticed it was a fake but since they did he didn't want to appear like he was intentionally trying to cheat someone.
Anybody that cant tell thats a fake , needs to spend more time in the education dept before diving in. Not being mean, but really, they need educated before they get swindeled by something else.

I agree, a person should definitely research and know a series before buying coins.

The text on the obverse is all wrong. Compare it to a genuine one and it will be obvious to you too.
