Not really sure how to explain this latest addition... it is hard to explain just how amazingly cool this coin is... especially in hand.
It has a terrific strike and sparkling luster (more than the photos show)... and of course... the drop dead gorgeous color.
This coin has bumped a few from the top of the list of my favorite coins.
It's BIG. It's BOLD. It's BAD TO THE BONE.

Nice one, SpaceMonkey. I have the same date, except mine survived 228 years in the ocean. It was recovered from the wreck of the Hollandia, a Dutch East India Company ship that sank on its maiden voyage in 1743 after striking Gunners Rock off Annet Island, in the English Channel, with the loss of 30 passengers and her crew of 276.
