Depends on your budget of course.....but there are some out there. I saw two ~AU's trade hands at FUN, both around $5k.
I couldn't even find a nice problem free VF, raw or otherwise, for under $800. The best deal I saw was a VF with good color and
'moderate' porosity for $360, and that was a 'good friend, repeat customer' price....but my client didn't want it.

I, too, looked for several years for this coin type in that grade range. The few that you did find in that grade/price range all seemed to be problematic, and this is surely symptomatic of the entire series. Also, when you do find one, be ready to pay up -- you aren't the only type collector having a hard time finding nice examples.

FWIW, I ended up having to drop my grade goal for this coin and ended up buying a VF coin (see below) -- and while it might have a few more bumps and bruises than I would like, I am very happy with it, and you might consider doing the same.

Here's one I picked up recently from the Heritage Houston Sale. Paid a retail price because I've been looking and couldn't find any bargains.

It was the best I could afford for my album and I really liked the date.

Be ready to spend over $5k. I have all of them in my large cent date cent, and they are in decent shape, but not AU.

I think that last bit is what is stopping you, there are plenty around, just nobody giving them away.

I saw a fantastic one earlier today, I will try to track it down, it was XF and I think NGC certified. I don't recall offhand where I saw it, since I couldn't afford it. I will let you know if I can find it.

I am looking for the 1808, 1809, 1810 and 1811 problem free VF or less if anyone has seen any. (I have the others.)

Here's the one I bought for my type set. Definitely hard to find a nice one in AU for a decent price. Was actually thinking of taking this one with me next week to Long Beach as trade/sale material so that I can focus a bit on other sets... still might be hard to part with though as I know they won't get any cheaper in the future...

Found it! It might not be as high a grade as you were looking for, but it is fantastic from what I can see in the pics. It is located here: www.earlycents.com It is 1814 XF40 and is priced at $1550, he also has an 1812 NGC in XF45, but I couldn't find a price. I would call him.(972) 668-1575

Tough series to find nice! A significant number of these were struck on corroded planchets and even if you can find an XF example there will likely be some degree of micro-porosity. I must say though, the coins shown in this thread are very nice!

jmski52, that is one FANTASTIC 1813! I can't afford the Classics in much better than VG to F, but I'd love to get an 1813 that looks like that! Maybe someday I'll be able to swing it, but then the problem is finding one. Seems to me, (after looking at tons of them in the lower grades, that it is somewhat easier to find a decent planchet on the 08, 10, 12, and 14. The planchets on the 09, 11, and 13 usually are more likely to be porous, corroded, pitted, and generally just rougher. Overall, the best planchets seem to be on the 1812 and 1814, with the worst on the 1813. No scientific study here, just my observations over the years.

I owned this VF for 20 years, but eventually I decided that I had to go a little higher in grade. The stain became a distraction for me.

I had this one bought, but I took it back and pooled my trades and more money to get a different coin. I keep looking at this pic and thinking that I should have found a way to keep both coins, the one I did buy, and this one.

jmski, I'd be more than happy with that 1810, or the 1812, but I'm absolutely crazy about that 1813! Classics with clean fields are scarce in any grade, unless I just don't know where to look :-)
