Cleaning silver dimes darkened by old album

My grandmother was a coin collector and my grandfather gave her a
Roosevelt Dimes album for Christmas 1953.
One of them put some uncirculated dimes in it up to 1956.

The album is green, 8" x 5.5", manufactured by
Popular Album - J, Wayte Raymond, Inc. - N.Y.

Unfortunately, the dime sides in contact with the paper were darkened
by something in the paper, resulting in this:

Any advice on cleaning a dime in this condition?

Much info concerning cleaning, mostly "don't clean them"

Don't Do It! Those coins have some 55 year old skin on them and the sentimental value will be enhanced by leaving them alone.

Just do a search on the forum for "dipping", ezest and a rinsing afterwards should remove much of that. Sometimes a light scrub with a qtip dipped in ezest might also be necessary. Unlike the rest of the crowd here, I don't mind taking harmfull toning like that off of coins- after time it will leave pitting in the coins surface- and like you said about minkmark- it hides lots of detail.

If you are not satisfied with them it might be easier to simply sell the set and buy what you like.
