Do Copper Spots Affect the Grade of a Coin ???

I have an AGE which appears to have small dark copper spots in some areas.
Other than this the coin appears to be in excellent condition. I want to send
it in for a grade but I'm thinking these spots may lower the grade. Any one
with experience have an opinion?
