First Strike Question.....

If an unopened mint sealed box is postmark within the first 30-days of release, does it still qualify for First Strike classification if sent in to a TPG later....say 6mo, 1yr, 5yrs later? Thanks in advance!

Why does anyone still seek these labels, since even the US Mint has described their use as misleading, and the other major TPG has dropped the term?

For the same reason folks collect circulated coins while others collect only uncirculated yet others collect bullion or foreign bullion or Cabbage Patch kids.
