Now, do you consider the 1907 UHR bullion also? If so, why are they multiples upon multiples of spot? Maybe in 2107 I can retire when I sell mine 2009 UHR.

i have no idea why coin collectors are willing to part massive amounts
of money for small objects that are ONLY 100 years old. go figure.
;-)
<< <i>It is a pretty coin but I can wait a few years or months when I can pick one up for melt. >>
I do think the FS UHR will forever be worth a premium...if PCGS is holdering them??? Also, the 1st year "gold" UHR will always bring a premium because the rest will be made of palladium.
Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
Because I CANT AFFORD IT!
Like I said on another thread, I just can't bring myself to plop down that much cash on a single coin. I guess I am a cheapskate, but I tend to buy several less expensive pieces rather than getting one pricey one.

I think you are missing some golden opportunities by avoiding the modern commemorative, the Buffaloes included.

<< <i>Would rather own the REAL thang over some modern mint "tribute" piece ! >>
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!
that's just a mere $300 million plus for one modern issue sucked out of the market
that's at mint cost of course
if I buy one coin and make even $200, which is a lot it looks like,
I'm sure gonna loose more money than that on existing inventory,
suffering from less interest due to new interest on an overpriced modern issue.
