  just for the record.. dewb has been around a very long time.. and his most recent absense from CU was directly attributed to the fact that he ditched a lot of people and screwed them over on trades.. One word of advice to anyone interested in his cards.. BE VERY CAREFUL!! THE GUY HAS SCREWED OVER MORE THAN ONE TRADER HERE AND SUDDENLY 6 MONTHS LATER COMES BACK...

  well, like mcdee has said i have been around for a very long time. in fact since the board really started. i'll admit that i've done a few things in the past that weren't completely kosher and to the two people that it involved(mcdee and pugsley) I apologize. in the case with mcdee i made a large trade with him and i did my best to describe the cards as best as I could. apparently i didn't do well enough as a few of the cards weren't to his liking. we got into a discussion(rather rude actually) and I got offended and angry and out of spite didn't trade back with him. as for pugsley, I sold him a rather large collection for a good deal of money and I sent it all with the exception of a 89 UD griffey rc that was supposed to be coming to me in the mail. I never received the card and very shortly thereafter I quit collecting. So I apologize for that as well. If he's still around, I will try and get you a Grif RC or i'll send you something else to make up for it. Now having said all that, I made MANY MANY trades on this board with lots of people with no complaints. Including JRCCRUM, NBASTEVE, JOHNSCOTTANTHONY, NASH, AUTOGRAPHS, TOPOFOHIO, IVERSONMILLER, and many others that I can send names if you'd like them. If anybody is on here that i've traded with and doesn't mind giving me a reference on here so that people won't think i'm a con-artist please do. And if the trade is substantial($ wise) I will be glad to send first if you've got references that way you can see condition etc and know that i'm not trying to rip anyone off. Anyways, I hope this clears some things up. If not, sorry for wasting you guys time.

  hopefully some of the "old-timers" will step up to the plate and dig deep into the memories.. it was in fact more than two traders.. dewb and his poor trading habits combined with his timely disappearance dominated this message board for quite a while.. unfortunately they dont keep posts in the archives like they used to.. so all I have is my word and hopefully some of CU's finer senior citizens will vouch for me since I am not nearly as active as i used to be here..

  I am an original on CU and I know dewb did do some bad things with a few members on here and hopefully he'll make up for them. All I know if that he was a great trader to me back in the day and Id trade with them now if I could as well.

  well, there's nothing more i can say. frank hates me and always will. there's nothing i can say or do to change that. i've made many many trades on here with no complaints and a couple of things i've done in the past i regret. i didn't do either of them intentionally. i'm just gonna leave it at that. i've agreed to send first if a trade is reached, i've agreed to atone for past bad decisions. that's all i can do. so LMK guys if you'd like to trade. if not, I guess i'll just leave everyone be. thanks in advance,

  I've been here since the first board, with Nash, NBASteve, and a few others. I wasn't on the board when all this went down(financial problems) so I'm, like Nash, clueless. But I did trade with blake a couple times, but then he wasn't on the board.
  
  BTW-Nash, ya know you were my first trade on the board, I got a Mattingly rookie, all this shizzle made me remember that trade.

  Well... I sure remember dewb from a long time ago. We used to spend a lot of time chatting about cards on msn and became friends of sorts. Then something happened that was a little, umm, weird.
  
  He told the board that he got a large portion of his cards stolen out of his car and lots of big hearted traders sent him some pretty nice cards with no expectation of anything in return, just to help him get back to trading and collecting. For my own part, I sent a pretty nice Lenny Wilkens 69-70 Topps rookie and a few autos to help his collection get back up to speed. It felt pretty good until he turned around and sold them in his "deal" with pugsley that is described above by dewb himself.
  
  Anyway, nothing like trying to help out a friend and having him turn around on ya. I assume he thought he was doing something wrong, because after that he just disappeared and we never chatted on msn again.
  
  So, Blake, there's my reference. Good luck making a better name for yourself this time around.

  by the way blake... one of your other "references" also left on terms similair to your own.. he was one of my best buddies that I met thru CU.. and I talked to him every day.. Iversonandmiller... disappeared leaving many traders on the bad end of a crappy deal... and tho I still consider him my friend.. I would in fact warn everyone to stay clear of him as well...

  Yes, I do remember Dewb and although i never had an issue with our trades. I do remember vividly the disgust he created on the board due to his trades with Mcdee and Pugsley. I also considered him a friend (in fact at one time we lived only 45 minutes from each other), but when he left without correcting his issues with Mcdee and Pugsley, I lost respect for him. I also was one of the people that sent him cards, at a time when he said his cards had been stolen.
  Hopefully Dewb will do whats right and correct these mistakes he made 6 months ago.
