over the last half century has come from the philly mint? 1955, 1972, 1983, 1984, 1995. It really makes it difficult for us Westerners to pluck these gems from circulation. Come on Denver get with the program and give us something out West to look for.

I think it is to make up for the 80 years worth of RPMs we never got to find.

The 69-S Double Die cent is significant, not being from Philly is maybe why the Feds went looking for them at first.

All the statehood quarter/SAC1$ mules and all the "lunchbox error" sneak out coins also came from the Philly mint. One Philly mint worker is now donig federal time.

Until a few years ago, all dies were made at Philadelphia. Dies carrying a mint mark, such as cent obverses, clearly got an extra “look” when the mint mark was punched in, and made it more likely for defective dies to be identified before production.

Denver has all the Talon Head and Peg Leg IKEs as well as the 1964-D Reverse of 65 Quarter!

But........Philadelphia does a much better job of screwing things up!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
  • didn't someone in Denver add a leaf or two on some quarters ??

    That is certainly plausible.

Considering there is a total of like 30 graded at all services, I don't think the liklyhood of finding one is very good.
