Out of curiousity after reading your post, what nationality are you? Are you native American Indian? If not, with all due respect, I don't think you are in any position to talk about people coming here for a free life.

And in full disclosure, I'm Mexican/American and do believe that everyone that wants to live in the United States, should learn English.

Excluding true illegals, enlighten us on how you feel about other Americans who don't speak English as a first language. The ignorance of some people astounds me. Hopefully you haven't procreated. edit: In fairness, I do think that all Americans should have a firm grasp on the English language. However, the racist rhetoric the OP is spouting is at the very least sickening.

Jesus, was not white and he didnt speak English. He also didnt have the hatred and ignorance that you seem to possess in abundance. I would strongly suggest that you or you kids learn a foreign language as in 20 years (or less) us scared white folks will be the minority.

Also dont tell me that only white, english speaking folks are dying for this country; you should do your homework on this issue. The people I know who come to this country, illegal or otherwise, bust their ass to make a good life for themselves and their children.

Our economy is screwed up first, by rich powerful white men (Bush, Greenspan). Second, the economy is in it's current condition simply because of the housing market. As a Realtor and member of NAR, I can tell you that 64% of all foreclosures for the first 3 quarters of this year, were of Caucasian ethnicity.

I'd be thrilled if we all switched to Spanish. There's some evidence to suggest that Spanish speakers struggle less with dyslexia (ditto for the other Romance languages), and it's phonetic spellings are much easier for both kids and non-native speakers to learn. The only real issue I have with it is that it doesn't seem to lend itself as well to colorful idioms- that's the one thing English really has going for it-- but apart from that I think there are a lot of benefits to it.

What's so great about Spanish. Even the Mexican bandits in the movie Treasure of the Sierra Madre took the time to learn English.
