My Santa got me some really cool Packer stuff. A book from the 1960's "How to Pass, Kick and Block with Bart Starr on the cover. A 1969 SI with Vince Lombardi on the cover. Favre and that pansy ass peyton manning on the cover of Esquire. And a PSA 7 1972 John Riggins rookie for my HOF rookie set.
Thank you Santa! I am at the inlaws with no scanner but I got: 1985 Topps Walter Payton PSA 8 1985 Topps Richard Dent PSA 8 1987 Topps Payton Breaks Through PSA 9 1982 Topps Dan Hampton PSA 9
I have been wanting to start the 1985 Bears PSA Registry set and now I am on my way!! Thanks again and Merry Christmas everyone!

thanks to my secret santa (andre y.) for getting me an unopened box of Bowman draft picks which I'm keeping unopened (odd, I open a gift to keep unopened..) my kids were looking at me all weird when I told them I'm saving this box for my collection.
My Secret Santa did an absolutely fantastic job -- thank you very much Paul! (Perkdog was my secret santa.)
Paul sent me several items. My wife wrapped each one to put under the tree. She doesn't know a lot about football cards and memorabilia, but she recognized a few of the items. When it came time to open them, she said, "I know you're going to like this!"
1970 Kellogg's Johnny Unitas: (I like Unitas, and you have to like the 1970 Kellogg's set!)
A near complete set of 1976 Wonder Bread (18/24): (Very nice!)
Also, there was a book, "Great Moments in Pro Football" from 1982. There is great stuff in here, including commentary on: The Bears beating the Redskins, 73-0 in 1940 The Greatest Game Ever Played (Championship game, 1958) There's more good stuff from the '70s too, with Gale Sayers, OJ, Franco Harris, and Walter Payton
As great as all of the above are, my favorite pieces are probably the last two. I have nothing like them in my collection. They are advertisements from the early '50s from Time Magazine and The Saturday Evening Post. A football star is giving their approval in each ad, and both players are in the HOF:
The Time Magazine page has a Gillette ad for their razors and "Cavalcade of Sports" radio show. The star is Sammy Baugh, another one of my favorites! The Saturday Evening Post ad is for Prest-o-lite batteries, with Bob Waterfield.
This was a fantastic gift for me. Thank you very much, Paul!
I have yet to get to my scanner but I will get pics up soon. I had two exchanges....both guys are kick a$$!!!
lsutigers-PSA Gem Mint 10 2003 UD Pride of NY Paul O'Neill autograph which is an SP! Thanks Bill!
Julen-wow, where do I start? I'll need my cam and not scanner... -A VERY nice starter set of 1975 minis (thanks for another project! hahaha) that included both Ryan Highlights and Pete Rose! About 150 cards -nice lots of 30-40 73's and 74's that are in INCREDIBLE condition cuz he knows Im working on those! He included a PSA 9 common...very awesome! -1976 stars in superb condition that included Ryan!, Yount, and Steve Carlton! -A nice stack of about 20 cards from 1984 Donruss that are all low pop and all look like they are PSA 10 candidates! I will be submitting those! Julen, you really left some money on the table for me on those!
Secret Santas, you both ROCK!
This was my first year in the secret santa cuz I have always avoided it because of the bums. I have to say, I cant wait to do it again next year! I saw where a couple of people did not receive their secret santa. Sorry to see that happen. I hope you all get something even if its late. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Barry
glad to see most people really got into their secret santa... lots of thought put into most gifts so far. as to some not getting their gifts, that just stinks... i hope that all arrive very soon and are worth the wait
merry christmas to all.

i willl not open mine until my recipiant gets theirs...i am soo mad at both myself and this whole situation. some of wich has been out of my control, but i am a man who goofed this up and thusly must take responsibility for it.
I joined the board too late to jump in on the Secret Santa as well, but it looks like it was a lot of fun and I'll definitely jump in next year. My girlfriend got me PSA Membership, so who knows what Santa will be bringing from that?
Been so busy the last couple of days i havent had time to post my Secret Santa gift. A very nice King Carl Hubbell autographed Hof Plaque. Thanks Santa !
Wont be able to scan until sat night but Thank you Santa got some great items --- A little Gary Carter ~ A little Mets ~ a little football and more. Thanks again everything was great
Thanks a bunch to my secret santa, Lou. I didnt expect the 1928 Exhibit of Dazzy Vance, great player and hard to find exhibit for sure, awesome. I like the lc greenwood and pens cards (first modern hockey cards for me). Thanks again for some great cards that will fit nicely into my collection. Merry Christmas indeed!
Thank you to my Secret Santa from Indiana. He or She got me exactly what I like. 2 factory sealed boxes of 1992 Fleer Ultra and the Toys R Us Rookies set that has the Gary Sheffield Rookie that I needed for my collection.
I liked the Fleer Ultra cards because they were so pleasing to the eye. Its a bit of nostalgia as I was a teenager when it first came out. I plan on keeping the boxes sealed for now as I like it that way.
That was some postage to get it all over here to California and I appreciate the effort!
Most of my collection is being completed by this secret santa exchange program. Looking forward to it for next year as well.
Picture is linked below. I do not know how to have it displayed in the message area.

That gift that Jonathan got amazed me. He got a written letter addressed to him by an umpire that officiated an important Red Sox game. There was plenty of other stuff he got too. Talk about exceeding expectations, its so thoughtful of his secret santa to go through all that trouble.

I'll start with the Unitas. I've felt compelled to this card in the past. But have never done a search for one or bid on or bought one. It'll be at or near the center of my main display whithin a few months as I do renovations on my house. I think I used 'The Force' against you to send this one, lol.
<< <i>Ya, with the Unitas, I felt compelled means I love that card, it's awesome.
But this Spawn, it'll be there along side the Unitas. I started thinking about design ideas for a display that will actually double as bar... ya I said it??? But I like to be half in bag when I rip so whatever. And I'm trying to find a way to use a card shop display as the theme, maybe add some price tags for effect.
Another awesome card for your viewing pleasure.

<< <i>An auto'd Bob Feller. I hadn't even heard of this guy, what an incredible life he's had up to here.
Lot's of fun reading about this guy, 12 no hitters with the only no hitter ever on opening day.... etc
And what a great card... Auto'd. Peel your eyes on this TNT.
I received my gift yesterday and all I can say is WOW!! This was probably the best gift I got all year, I really love it. Even though it was late Benderbroeth was extremely generous and it was well worth the wait. -
