So, is special #2 1972 to present, or 1969 to present?
So then does that mean the 1969s, 1970s and 1971s fall into the SUPER DUPER PSA SPECIAL for $2.00 per card? LMAO

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Crap... I have a nice stack of '71 topps football/baseball/ baseball coins that could go in! Why does the 69-71 era always get the shaft?? This has happened many times before... Why not do a $6 special up to '69 and from '70 and up a $5 special????????????????????????????????????. Makes no sense to me to skip three years in the middle of both specials... Paul

With the two new specials PSA is offering starting in January, they will likely be very busy. Expect to wait the estimated 45 business days, and think of anything less than that as a bonus.
What kind of card would never be worth subbing for $6, but at 5$ it becomes a no-brainer? That's a nice special, but I don't see why everyone makes such a fuss over a $1 per card savings over the usual rate. Yes, I know you need 100 cards to get them graded at $6 per, but if you can't put together a few hundred cards per hear to submit then your major complaint should be with the $99 membership fee-- not the grading fees-- because PSA as it stands is not set up to accomodate guys who want to submit 125 low dollar cards per year.
<< <i>because PSA as it stands is not set up to accomodate guys who want to submit 125 low dollar cards per year. >>
I would consider myself a guy who wants to submit about 100-200 cards valued under $100 a year. And I'm sure there are many others on this board. >>
Hey-- to each his own. I'm not in any way looking to pass judgment on what someone else chooses to do with their hobby dollars. But I don't see how a PSA membership can be worth the price if your submission rate is <200 cards a year, and I still can't picture the card that I would never submit for $6, but would leap at the chance to submit for $5.
Edit to add: I forgot about the six free subs and the-ahem-'SMR', so that changes the picture a bit. But consider: 100 cards valued at $5 each will cost $6.31 to grade, including return shipping. Twenty-five cards valued at $5 each will cost $5.97 per card w/ return shipping.

<< <i>It's gotta be '69 since the other special runs through '68. >>
Nope. It is 1972.
This is why I don't put them out so early. I didn't do a very good job of proofing. I fixed the wording.

<< <i>the last $5 sp - I think I waited almost 3 months... well worth it for $5 a sub >>
You weren't thinking that while it was sitting there.
I am a small time submitter so this is perfect for folks like me.
The 5/6 dollar special should be done at least once a year.
