Christmas spirit spam... Final tally is $782.81 raised for good causes

Uncharacteristically, I got a bit of the Christmas bug today and decided to pick a card from my collection (one that doesn't quite fit in, admittedly), put it up on eBay, and donate the final sale price to charity. It probably won't bring all that much, but I thought maybe I could compensate for that by encouraging others here to do the same.
Here's the idea... Pick your card (or whatever else), list it on eBay, then, on this thread, post a scan of the card, a link to the auction, and, if you'd like, a link to the charity you'll be donating to. If you have nothing to sell, bid on someone else's auction.
And, of course, it'll be an honor-system deal. I realize someone could easily use this thread just to generate traffic to their auctions and then never make the donation, but I know from firsthand experience that there are a ton of generous and honest people on these boards, and there's still plenty of good that could come out of it.
Here's my guy...
(EDITED: My auction of an '06 Topps A&G Mantle PSA 10 yielded $25 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.)
So, Kumbayah, gentlemen (and lady). Post 'em, bid on 'em, and do some good. Dammit.

OK, I'm not going to let this hit Page 2 until I get at least a few joiners.
After all, this is the same board that once put together $23,500 (not a typo) for a group rip. Surely, we can team up a bit to raise a little coin for charity... at Christmas?
C'mon, find an $8 card at the bottom of one the many stacks of cards that have been sitting on your desk for months and help me get this rolling. It'll be fun. Dammit.

Woohoo! Thank you, sir!
Who's next?
Only an idiot would have a message board signature.
do you think if you discussed your charity in the auction that the bidding may increase?
good gesture.
Thanks,

Sure, but like I said in the first post, the idea is to encourage people to sell a card (or two or more) and then give the proceeds to the charity of THEIR choice. My thought is that a single thread devoted to all the auctions for charity could help increase views, bids, etc...
The proceeds from my auction will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation which grants wishes to kids with life-threatening illnesses... I pulled this story from their web site...
"Katie loved basketball. Whether it was playing, watching or talking about it – Katie had hoop dreams.
But when she was 11, those dreams were shattered after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. As Katie endured the traumatic ordeals of hospital stays, medical tests and treatments, the Make-A-Wish Foundation came into her life. Wish granters asked Katie what she wanted to wish for, but she had a hard time deciding. Then her brother suggested that she think about making basketball part of her wish.
Suddenly, the choice became obvious: Katie wished to meet her favorite player, Michael Jordan. Katie had always loved watching him play, and the idea of meeting her hero helped her persevere through another series of treatments.
“Thinking about the wish helped me get through all of my treatments,” Katie said. “It gave me something else to dream about and think about.”
Katie’s wish was granted in December 2000. She and her family traveled to Washington, D.C., to meet Jordan. As Katie waited to meet him, she thought of all of the questions she would ask him. But they were soon forgotten when he walked into the room.
Jordan talked with Katie, her brother and parents. He signed a copy of his book, I Can’t Accept Not Trying, and two basketballs – one each for Katie and her brother. Then when Jordan asked Katie if she had any questions, all she could think to ask for was a hug.
Katie bravely dealt with another tumor following her wish, successfully fighting through once again. Inspired by her wish, Katie chose the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the subject for a school paper during her sophomore year in high school. She interviewed the CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Pennsylvania and Southern West Virginia for the paper, and Katie soon received an internship offer from her. Katie not only accepted the position, but she stayed with the chapter as an intern through the rest of high school and college.
After graduating from college, Katie moved, but she didn’t leave the Foundation behind. Today, she works as a development coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mid-Atlantic, based in Maryland. Katie says the job is perfect for her.
Now, she can help other children drive hard and see the hope of their future."

If sellers are not using Mission Fish or Giving Works, there are strict guidelines
about discussing a charity. The listings will all be removed, if they violate the
policy.
.....
Guidelines for non-eBay Giving Works nonprofit listings
Sellers may only list items for charity without eBay Giving Works if they:
A: Are soliciting on behalf of recognized tax-deductible charitable organizations (for example, 501(c)(3) status or equivalent with the IRS); and,
B: Receive advance written consent for the solicitation from the benefiting nonprofit.
To verify you received permission, you must include a scanned copy of the consent in your listing. It must appear with the nonprofit’s letterhead, signed by an officer and include the nonprofit’s tax-deductibility status as well as your name or eBay user ID, dates of event/listings, and donation amount (percentage of the final sale price). It must be large enough to be easily legible, and it must appear as a picture rather than a link.
Mphilking -- Many thanks! Great looking card.
And thanks for the info, storm.
ldferg -- I think I misunderstood your post at first, and that's reflected in my reply, but I'm just going to leave it there... for what it's worth. Sorry 'bout that, and thanks.
<< <i>Thanks for the Heads up Storm! >>
......
Just go back to the SYIF and click on the Mission Fish/Giving Works thingy.
If you get a bid before the change, just cancel the listing and redo it.

I should have mentioned the potential problem earlier.
<< <i>Storm, I tried to edit and the option didn't come up, at least I didn't see it. My friend is Director of the charity and he'll get me a letter tomorrow. >>

<< <i>Nick i actually need Mphilking's Mantle card for my set, so back off!
Hah! That was me you just outbid. Dammit.
bring it on punks!
Hoping to get a few more auctions up for this, boys. Ten total may be a reasonable goal, I think. Monday morning, of course, may not be a great time to start a 7-day auction, but... I just hope others will be joining in soon.
My Mantle A&G auction, by the way, has some unusual numbers... 72 views, 2 watchers, one bid. Hah.
<< <i>.......Monday morning, of course, may not be a great time to start a 7-day auction, but... I just hope others will be joining in soon............ >>
Anyone wanting to join in can get their auctions ready for tomorrow and start a 5 day auction that will end on Sunday night.
On a personal note, I have decided to match the final bid amount of the card I listed for my charity.
<< <i>Great idea! I will put in a bid on each! Happy holidays. >>
