    WOW!

Why are we not all wrapping our ASE's in velvet or tissue paper and putting them away for ten years for a boost to the old retirement account?!?!?!

$405? Easy come, easy go. Obviously accelerated, whether it took 16 years, or 16 minutes. The question is, will the "toning" stop there, or are such coins merely on a fast track to turning black, as silver does naturally, given enough time?

Uggh, another artificially helped along coin IMO. I'm surprised PCGS even slabs such a modern coin with that much toning!

This spring I sent 4 toned coins across the street (3 Morgans and 1 ASE) that I know were NT (in my drawer) and all 4 came back AT....No more get graded by me

Does anyone have experience with these turning black? Just wondering if there's any data to support the hypothesis. ASEs with this (and similar, but different) looks have been in PCGS slabs for a while now so one would expect to hear some reports if they have been going dark, similar to milk spotting reports.

I don;t think the grading was done all that long ago.

As for SAE's toning, Bochiman has some he simply sets out in his closet which come up with some wild colors and given the fact that these are 99.999% Silver, its easy to see how this could occur compared to the 90% coins.

Is it right? Only the consumer knows for sure and it is evident that the consumer has a financial love affair going on with PCGS Graded SAE toners as this one certainly is not the first nor will it be the last.

The toning has been sped up. It's somewhere between NT and AT and could easily bag if sent in again.
