They will have one more available when the defective one they sent me that arrived on Monday gets back to them and they blow it off on another hapless fool once more.

Maybe its just me, but I cant imagine paying such a major premium for any gold or platinum that the Mint was selling!
All coins kept in bank vaults.

The picture will be a lot clearer a week from now. Until then it is anyone's guess. If it is true that the mint sales count everything including backorders (which is the belief by many) and we know that many backordered coins were cancelled by the mint earlier this week then the numbers next week will be much lower. If they aren't then things are really messed up.

These coins have been going for less than this on regular auction. 1350-1400. I do think that if you want one of these and don't have one you need to pick up within the next 5 or 6 days. I haven't heard much about people getting there backordered 4 coin sets cancelled yet but I think that number should drop dramatically. There is no way they sold 900 sets in the last couple of days before they went on backorder. The one oz jumped a lot in the last week also before it went on backorder. The 1/2 and 1/4 oz. I believe will be close to the 2006 mintage numbers around 2500 to 2700. The 1 oz will end up around here also but the 2006 numbers were north of 3000.

Yes, I agree. I just looked at the "shameless plug" and considered posting a reply that my auction has better photos and less hype...but I didn't really want to match his price on this coin. There have been a number of factors keeping the price down and I think they are all coming to an end... JMHO. --Jerry

Then you definitely missed the boat this year.

08 will be the year of the keys!

Buffalos, Plats, even the unc-W Saints will probably be keys. Not to mention spectacular coins!

I just sent back a one oz. with some of those pinpoint luster losses in liberty's headgear, so there's another to the pot...
