1902-O Morgan....curious date I think its VAM-31A

What's up with the 2 in 1902

It doesn't look like post mint damage to me.

The "2" is actually a "3" that had to scratch its back....Very rare variety....maybe.

Die chip. That happens often on the 1902 coinage. Leroy doesn't list it as a variety without there being something else to list. This one has a near date, might be VAM 22. Look at the mintmark position to see if the O is tilted to the left.

There does appear to be a clashed letter at the neck. Looks like a G or maybe another letter?

Looks like the O is tilted left to me, but that has always been a tough thing for me to distinguish.
I have/had one also... I just sold it a couple days ago.

I too had one but I guess it got on ebay and sold. Did not mean to sell. It did not bring any extra or I
would have wondered why and noticed it again!

After some additional closeups its looks like VAM-31A

Definitely a letter clash on the front. Looks like an 'n' rather than a 'G', and it has a C4/C3 reverse, so I'd say VAM 31A. There should be a clash of the front of Liberty's neck from the eagle's wing into the letters of "In" that will tell you just what clashed letter you're looking at if it's not clear.
