One of those bad photo gambles.......

I thought what the heck, I'll put in a lowball bid and see what happens. Great deal if the coin is really AU50. Kind of has that cleaned look, but we shall see. For $15 with shipping, even if it has a light cleaning I should be able to flip it on the bay for $20 image

Gamble (small one though)

    doesn't seem to fit the seller's billing as "completely problem free"

    I buy from bad photos all the time. My favorite type of auction. Just know what you are buying.

    Sorry to say but from a seller with a name such as coinsnstuff08, obviously with an emphasis on coins presuming he knows what he's selling...it was a bad gamble,

    I can think of easier ways to make $7 and change - actually less, after fees and paypal - like picking up pop bottles from the side of the road image

    Say the coin is listed starting at 99 cents, exact shipping is charged, and a high bid of $20.00 results.

    Cost of coin + original shipping = $15.27
    Listing fee = $0.15
    FVF = $1.75
    PayPal fee = $0.90
    Total cost = $15.27 + $0.15 + $1.75 + $0.90 = $18.07

    Payment received of $20.00 - original expense and fees of $18.07 = $1.93 profit.

    I enjoy purchases like that too, particularly when the seller doesn't normally sell coins and cannot take a good picture of a semi-key coin.

    Small pix, but looks like a fingerprint on rev. and lightly cleaned obverse, but for $15.27 there's not much downside risk. You probably did OK or even better! image
    I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.
