what's the best way to clean your coins?

i have about a dozen steel pennies that are black. what is the best way to clean them up?

    Realone is correct, I thought this questions was a joke question so I made a joke, but the bottom line is there is only one in a few hundred thousand coins that should be cleaned, the rest should be left as they are.

    I think the number is like 1 in 374,683.7 coins that can/should be cleaned.

    Did you know that 99% of all statistics are made up on the spot?

    Those steelies can sometimes get downright "ugly" looking but they still shouldn't be cleaned - think of that ugliness as coin "personality" LOL

    Many people have stripped old "steelies" of their rust and old zinc plating, then replated them. They have little to no numismatic value, but they do look nice and "shinny" (inside joke).
  • I would think cleaning a steel cent is just fine...They're not worth anything anyways, and would look better if nice and shiny
