If you wanted to submit a coin in a NCS or old ANACS details holder, would you crack it out first?

I have a few coins, really original circulated but in these holder due to be marked scratched which exists but are really minimal.
I just crossed a dime, grade by ANACS in an XF45 with a much worse scratch but not noted on the small Anacs holder and it crosses.
Much worse than any of these coins in the "wrong" holder.

I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org

Have to wait and see how trigger happy pcgs is to put a coin in a genuine holder vs lowering it a grade for small issues.
You can try it out and let us know how it goes
<< <i>I would definitely crack a details holdered coin before submitting it. My guess is that PCGS will not be quietly downgrading as many coins with tiny problems, instead they will simply hit the details button. >>
PCGS won't be giving a details grade.

<< <i>Absolutely. PCGS is about 80% perception and 20% grading. >>
This sounds kinda' cool, but I have no idea what it means.

It means most PCGS' perception in the marketplace is based on reputation, much more so than the actual grading, which varies from month to month, year to year. If they crossed coins marked as "problem coins" by other relatively respected services, that perceived reputation would decline, whether the coin deserves to be graded or not.
