1971-S Eisenhower Proof FS-106 DDO
I don't know about the rest of you but I've seen a few DDO IKEs in my time and, IMO, the FS-106 is probably the best example of Rotated Hub Doubling for this series that you'll ever come across.

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Fast forward 20 years, and the CPG was published. Turns out that the only Ike I owned was the only variety listed in CPG.
Go figure!
<< <i>I was born in 1971, and in the late 1970s or early 1980s my parents gave me a 1971-S Ike for my birthday. Just the one, of course.

<< <i>So, Lee, is there any value to a DDO Ike?

Yes there is but it all depends upon the degree of separation and the "type" of doubling. Some DDO's are so trivial that, even though they are DDO's, they pretty much command 0 extra dollars in premium. They are simply DDO's.
However there are several Rotated Hub Doubled IKEs that, even though they are not in the CPG, are significant in the amount and type of doubling which occurs on the coin.
The FS-106 happens to be the best example IMO and commands a significant premium over the "typical" IKE DDO.
