Sorry Piece of crap !!!

I usually buy one box of cards a year for the heck of it to see what they look like and to try for the big rookie of that particular year.
So today i am at Target and decide to get a box of Playoff Absolute Memorabilia. I get home open the box and the first thing I notice is that all the packs inside are open !
So I go through the packs and of course get nothing, One pack has only four cards (Wonder Why ?)
I cant believe some piece of crap took the time to re-seal a box after opening all the packs. Now I have to go back to Target and try to explain to someone what happened to me and obviously them as well.image

Wow that's bad Barry. They even rewrapped it with new celophane?

Yikes. I presume this is the one by Union? That place is the worst for card buying.

Yep. Cellophane was intact and even had the playoff trademark on it. Problem is I threw my receipt away at the target door.

The lack of attention from retailers on this subject is a large reason why I have lost interest. I'll buy a blaster or two of A & G but I'll never buy packs. Even at our local Wal-Mart all of the single packs with cardboard backing are all bent up from searchers.

Will Target let me swap out boxes without a receipt ?? I dont want to have to dig through the garbage at the door to find it.

I'll be honest in that I doubt Target would give a refund with a receipt. The scam artists have ruined it for the honest people. When you as an innocent person walk in with your story I'd expect them to treat you like a criminal. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

If you paid via Credit/debit card, they can track it that way. Have made a few exchanges (no cards) without any hassles that way.

Here in Ca. I have seen resealed blasters as well. Some with Plain and some with the company shrink wrap. Usually the lid is sloppily hot glued shut. Sad.

I would be sorry this happened to you if you were a Cowboys fan.

Ok I took the Absolute back and was going to exchange it for another box of the same, I looked at all six boxes they had left and showed the folks at Target where they had been opened on the bottom and re-sealed with scotch tape.
So I wound up getting a box of Topps Chrome in Exchange.

This exact scenario is the reason I don't buy retail blaster boxes anymore. A few years ago I bought 3 retail blaster boxes at Wal-Mart and when I got home, there were no packs at all, they were stuffed with cardboard and paper towels. I opened the other two at the service desk when I took them back and they were the same way. They refunded my purchase on a gift card with no hassle.

Congratulations on getting everything worked out. That's saying something when you'd rather buy cards at Target than at teh card shop in the same shopping center (assuming it's still there).

I don't know how, But it is still there. Probably by doing things like this.

Does anyone know anything about 08 Topps Chrome ?

Was there not a good HS football game in the area? I thought about going to Huntingdon to watch them play JCS. The last remaining county team in the playoffs is on the road...................around 120 miles away.
