OK Jefferson Nickel Buffs, this was pulled from a box of 2X2's at a show this past weekend. Who knows the date.

    How about this clue. If PCGS attributes this coin the way I think they should, this would be a Pop 1 coin.

    30.3... ah... now I see it... a 22.5. Either way, what makes it a pop 1?

    I think it's a 1956, but what do I know. I'm only guessing becuase last time I had the right answer and kept it to myself. image

    I definitely don't think it's a 1939 QDR FS022.5, I have an UNC examples and you can definitely see all four hubbings as "stairs" in the serifs.

    Sean got it! Even though he did not say which 1956 variety it is.....FS-035.6. If it grades by PCGS, it will be a Pop 1! Unless someone out there has one already in the works?

    I recognized it because I have in one in low grade, along with the other multiply doubled reverse die for the year (I forget how many hubbing it had, but it might be as many as six). I bought them years ago from eBay seller Pete Bilan, who in the late 1990s was almost alone in selling really nice CPG varieties on eBay. It's a great variety and an even better cherrypick, so congrats on the find.
