My First Half Dime

I bought this coin with the intent of putting together a nine-coin year set of capped bust half dimes. I enjoyed the look of the type and the history behind it (human-powered screw press and all) so much that I expanded my collecting goals a tad. Anyway, this is the evil beast that started it all. 1829 LM-5, common die marriage.

Some of those boarder beads at the top look like the engraver may have had a drinking problem.

I think so. I wouldn't sell it or even try to upgrade it.

Of course, drop an insane amount of money on me and the coin would be replaced.
