Sometimes you just need to get them out and look at them...

... I did and I enjoyed it. Does this mean I'm a geek ?

Sorry about the poor pic, it was just spur of the moment.

    You're a geek, I'm a geek, we're all geeks!!!

BTW - I was doing that last night too. Oh so much fun, until I had to decide which one I wanted to sell image
  • That Iowa really jumps out at you! Very nice!

I did that the other day- spread out all of my half dimes on a table and looked at them side to side. I hadn't done that in a while and I thought it looked great- really gave me a feeling of accomplishment.

I pulled my Merc set to start taking pictures and it was pretty cool to see all the rattlers together. BTW, nice coins.

You need to crack that Monroe out a scrub it with a Brillo pad so it looks like all the other ones out there.
  • I just brought out my Eagle album full of my early commem set. I do it about every night i'm home. It never gets old.

Richard, I must tell you again...I love that Monroe. That baby would look great in my set. Look me up if you ever want to part with it.

Yeah, but we're all geeks so it's no big deal. Wanna know how big of a geek I am? I was in Boston this week and I visited JJ Teaparty's shop...on a Sunday night when it was closed...and I took a picture. Now that's a geek!

it's too bad that the hobby we have
    requires the items collected
to be behind a large metal door
instead of out in the open to enjoy

Just buy cheap widgets and you won't have to worry so much about that large metal door image

This applies to more than just coins! image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

  • If you don't, who will? I took a few albums to a coin club I joined but no one else ever did so I gave it up.
I've only had one member of my family show any interest, a grandson.
I handed him both albums of Morgans and he was amazed that coins that old could still look like new.

If you don't take them out and look at them from time to time, why buy 'em. image

    Very nice.
