Is There a Way to Permanently Block Certain Keywords on Ebay?
I hate sifting through listings and seeing 25 in a row with replica in the title still listed in the Bust Half category despite being replicas. Novelty is another one that drives me crazy. Is there an option somewhere to block these types of listings frmo showing up?
I like cheese, notes, and coins. In that order.

you need to create a custom search like this for example:
1895 -replica
will bring up listings with 1895 in the title and NOT the word replica.
once you have it fine tuned.. save it as a search you can retrieve in
my.ebay.com
1909 S VDB, -replica, -copy
Put a minus before the word you do not want to find.
<< <i>That's what FC was saying. eBay does let you block certain key words that you choose. If I wanted to search for 1909-S VDBs I would put this in the search bar.
1909 S VDB, -replica, -copy
Put a minus before the word you do not want to find. >>
I believe this would also work: 1909 S VDB -(replica,copy)
Like: 18** +dime -replica -copy -novelty
Then you'll get all the dimes from the 1800's which broadens your search.

<< <i>Ah I see. I guess that will work, although Ebay should let me block certain keywords even when I'm browsing. Thanks >>
When browsing, just search "-replica" in whatever category you're viewing and you should get everything else to show up
<< <i>I agree, but go one step further and if you are looking for certain dates but not exact dates use the asterisk feature.
Like: 18** +dime -replica -copy -novelty >>
That's one I didn't know about. Great tip, Bob.
eBay has "reproduction" categories.... but sellers are not required to put copies and fakes in those categories. WTF!!??
Yet eBay feels free to delete my listing of a Q. David Bowers Hallmark holder because I had the name "Hallmark" somewhere in the listing (not in the title). I can't mention the numeric grade. I can't mention the name of the holder. In fact, the last time I listed the piece, I removed all references to the word "Hallmark" from anywhere in the listing and made sure that the words "slab" or "certified" never appeared in the listing. It still got yanked.
All in the guise of "protecting" buyers.
These fecking scammers are allowed to continue hawking their fakes, but I can't sell a legitimate collectible slab.
BULLSH*T!
