Anyone going to the Clifton, NJ coin show tomorrow?

I have never been there. Can you find any decent buys there? At least it is an excuse to go to Rutts Hut...

Never been there. I should go considering it's only like 30 minutes away. But then again, I'm one lazy ass...
  • Sorry but I can only tell you that you won't be able to get any good buys from me...

...cause I won't be there... I'll be in Old Bridge... image

Hope ya have a good time and a good "whatever they have" at Rutts Hut... image

  • I believe that it leans heavily towards darkside.

    Deep fried hot doggies.
  • I Have been to Rutts Hut before. Pretty good hot dogs, very good onion rings, and a certain ambience all its own.

I would have checked out Sea Eagle's show, too, but it is an hour away from Clifton, so I don't think I could do 2 shows in a day. Too much drivin'image

  • Gotta love Rutts Hut. About 10 min. from me in Kearny.

I've been going to the Clifton Show since 1993.

It's on the smaller side (especially when compared to Parsippany), with about 30 dealers or so. The Clifton show has really grown in the past few years - it now features several more dealers and a lot more floor traffic than it did three or four years ago.

If you're a regular at Parsippany, you'll see several familiar faces, as a handful of dealers (and a number of collectors) do both shows.

In general, Clifton features less expensive material than Parsippany, but you'll still find a wide variety, especially of Darkside items.

I strongly encourage you to visit the show - if more collectors show up, then so will more dealers, who will bring more coins with them!

And, yes, I'll be there tomorrow.

    Ankur,

I doubt if you'll find anything new as far as large cents go.

The dealers at Clifton who have large cents are mostly the guys who also go to Parsippany.
