I have no idea how it got there I found it on e-bay shortly after reading a thread on soaking coins in Olive Oil or Mineral Oil, and wanted to find out how well it worked and thought that coin would make a good candidate. since I did not want to try it with any thing I have in the collection.
Seem to be working well in non virgin olive oil. I'm going to give it a month or so' it has only been in for a week.

Here is a modern copper cent. I like it because I picked-it out of a obw roll and think that it
would go 66.
