I dont think so. Beckett will have to return to form, and I don't think thats likely. I really think he is hurt and needs rehab if not surgery. he will have to dig DEEP in game six. The sox certainly arent phased at being in this situation, but they are not at home for the last 2 games.
I hate to say it but I think the Red Sox stand a great chance at coming back. Yesterdays win was HUGE. I think the Rays are young enough that it may have rattled their cages a little bit. This should show us what kind of team they really are.

I agree. The Sox would have a better chance if they benched Beckett and went with any other starting pitcher. It's ridiculous to me that the Red Sox continue this charade by saying that Beckett is able to pitch. But maybe there's just enough left in the tank?
How has no one made the Schilling in game 2 vs. Schilling in Game 6 analogy from 2004? He was hit pretty hard in Game 2 and people thought they should shut him down. People are saying the same about Beckett. Don't count this guy out
But for the record, I think they should have moved Lester to start Game 6 because he'll likely give you more innings and your pen wouldn't be shot if there is a game 7.

But if he gives you enough innings in game seven, you won/t need much from the bullpen. . .
