Just curious to what you think. Is this authentic? Grade? I'm afraid to jump on it without knowing. The life you save may be my own. image

Thanks for the input....

Looks like rim damage above the E of STATES on reverse and above S of PLURIBUS on obverse. Not what I would consider a good buy, when it has obvious problems. Looks genuine at least.

Wow, not the greatest pics to be sure. I don't like the date and dentils below the date. Common problem
for counterfeiters is that area. I'd be suspect on this one and would only buy one already encased in
PCGS or NGC or ANACS plastic. Take it out if you want after you buy it but don't buy this date raw.

I don't like the look of it. Very hard to tell from the pictures as to real or not. Even if real, those rim dings eliminate it from consideration. $1200 is way, way, way to much for that particular coin.

  • I would not even consider buying that coin.
  • It's hard to judge authenticity from a photo.
    However, it looks promising.
I'd give it a high VF grade, maybe even a 30 but I'm no expert.

    Looks real.
    Looks like a Fine+.
    Looks damaged at least

Looks are everything with key date Morgans, so look for a more problem-free coin.
    When in doubt, don't.

It might be a Fine in real life but since the pict don't show 2 lines in each cotton ball I grade the pict VG+. The rim ding precludes slabbing and the field in front of Liberty look like it's stained from some kind of cleaning and would probably ng for altered surface.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

    Me too.

Some folks just don;t seem to realize that if you move a photobucket picture from one album to another, that the link becomes invalid.
