Cost of grading rolls at Pcgs
I have some rolls of Ike dollars that I would like graded. I remember seeing somewhere that you can submit rolls to Pcgs for grading and that you can specify you only want them encapsulated if they meet a certain grade. If some of them dont meet the grade, you could save money on grading. I cannot find any info on this on the pcgs site. Can anyone explain to me how this works if it still exists? Thanks in advance....

<< <i>Thats Bulk Grading, its only availble to dealers now!
You can send the rolls in to get graded. You just don't get a discount for quantity. You can stilll select a minimum grade you will accept.

The other 25% (or smaller percentage) would also be graded for their respective grades (MS-63, MS-64, MS-66, etc.)
Also, you can only have at most 4 dates/mintmarks. Any more combinations of this will not qualify.
If you end up having only 20 of the 100 coins come back MS-65, then PCGS will charge you the regular grading fees for all 100 coins.
I then believe that all coins below the MS-65 grade level will not be graded, but the coins that grade above MS-65 will grade, since the MS-65 grade will end up as the "min. grade" in your submission.
Try to find old posts on this subject.
It used to be that you could send in coins for bulk grading if you had 100+ coins in the same denomination with up to 4 different dates.
You could asign a minimum grade for the submission & only those meeting the grade would be charged a grading fee.
The fee's would be 'prorated' by the grade assigned, the higher the grade-the higher the fee.
A minimum number would have to make that grade or else ALL coins would be charged a rading fee.
Recently PCGS announce that this service would only be availale to PCGS approved dealers.
