Man grabs rare coin from Nebraska dealer and runs

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Lincoln police are looking for a man who grabbed a rare coin from a dealer and ran.

Investigators say it happened Thursday at the Coinery. The owner says a man came in and asked to see some coins. The owner says when he brought out a tray with large coins on it, the man grabbed an 1875 Gold Double Eagle and ran.

The coin is very rare and worth about $950.

    You have to consider that it is coming from the Associated Press which is not really in tune with numismatic values and rarity, $950 for any
    coin is going to seem like a lot of money to an uninformed staff writer.

    That is why the steak was only $24.99, cause it caused runs. Ordinarily steaks there are a bit more than that.

    It was the creamed spinach what caused the runs, not the steak.

    No. Good news is the dealer wasn't hurt. Better news would have been the thief tripped while fleeing and broke his neck.

    24.99 at Ruth chris might get you a 6 oz steak, much less the potato they charge you additional 5 bucks for!
