BEWARE - Microsoft Cashback May not pay you!

Finnaly recieved my Microsoft Cashback today, ok it was only $89... well an hour later I recieve another notification that the money has been taken back because "the transaction was reported as item returned". I completed the transaction back in July for a tube of silver dollars, nothing was returned and I checked with the seller, nothing was reported as returned.
It's only $89 but it's the principle. If Microsoft wants to encourage use of it's Live search engine then they need to ensure that they pay up. I have read of other simmilar problems on these Boards and am sorry to say that I appear to be the latest victim and as such will not be using the Cashback program. Maybe I am an exception, but it appears there are no guarantees. Others BEWARE!

Just this afternoon I received email notification that 2 of my cashback items were reported as cancelled or returned. Only 2 problems:
1. I still have the items in question; no returns here.
2. My cashback for these two items was sent to me by PayPal weeks ago.
Some people are reporting getting this email for items they haven't even received yet (purchased within the last few days).
I filed a support ticket... we'll see what they come back with. Luckily I don't have any other pending cashback purchases... on that account.

I check a forum with much disussion on cashback and saw many people had the same thing happen.
Later this afternoon I got a email saying this transaction has been canceled as the transaction was reported as item returned.
So ms realized they made a error and simply took it back.
It sounds to me like this is what happened to you. If they took back something they did not already pay let them know.

Btw I see it is back up to 30% I searched for pcgs.

I didnt. So far I have used cashback on eBay 5 times. I have been paid for 3 of them so far with 2 still in the 60 day waiting period.
Probably would have been better if they made a new email to explain there was a system error that gave a cachback credit where none was due rather than sending out a pre-made cashback was canceled due to returned item email.
