Tonight, I will ask a legend....

If he collects coins. At our table as a guest of honor is Thomas "Hitman" Hearns. I can never understand a word he says, but I'm gonna ask him tonight if he's a collector....Ok I edited the title, thought about that afterwards....oops...

Maybe he collects teeth, or even earlobes like Mikey.image
BTW, how does one become a former legend? In my world, once a legend, always a legend. Except maybe her highness.

He'll probably "knock you out" with one punch!

I remember those Sugar Ray fights well.................
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

  • He is one of the greatest fighters for his time. Damn I would sure be happy to meet him and get his autograph. Have him sign a slab if you have one available. Where are you meeting him?image

The only thing you call a fighter like him is "Champ."

While not a boxer, Arne Anderson has turned up at a coin show before. He's the only pugilistic numismatist (numismatic pugilist?) I can think of.

Ask him if he could hear Howard Cosell announcing his fight with Ray Leonard. Sugar Ray said he could hear him and it really fired him up!!!

I agree with this and I think he is a legend in his chosen profession.

I would call him Sir. I would not mess with a guy called the Hitman. image

Never ask "Do you collect coins?". Instead, ask "Are you a collector?". This is a far less pointed question and more likely to get a warm reception. If he answers yes, THEN you can ask for specifics. If he answers no, then you won't look like a nerd.

Not too good, he was only at out table for 20 minutes before getting switched to a different table cause the people at those tables were told he'd be at their table. Didn't get to talk much besides the ordinary stuff, Plus he was getting hoarded by the girls wanting photos and autographs, Oh well, That was our first show since 2005, and it was about as lame as it could be. Pretty much overmatched opponents, quick KO's, 1 fight got canned cause fighter couldn't make weight, during another fight the opponent actually kissed the other guy, twice, and the main event went the full 8 rounds...I don't know if we're gonna do more fights or not, things are just never as good the second time.
