I'm waiting to receive two separate shipments from PCGS. I received e-mails that both have shipped, one on the fourth and one on the fifth. The numbers for the fourth (DC and registered mail #) are not showing up in the USPS system (per my search, I haven't asked USPS about it yet) The status of the package on the fifth is showing up in the computer.
Has anyone ever had this problem where the package appears to not have been scanned? I'm a little worried that it's sitting in a corner somewhere and was never picked up by USPS.

I just went through the same situation that you described. PCGS said that it was shipped, but the package did not show up as having arrived at USPS. That happen with me on some US Mint items, and they never were delivered. So, of course, I was very concerned that the same thing would happen with the PCGS package.
I called PCGS and they told me that sometimes the package is not scanned the second time by USPS, but is still in their system and will be delivered. Guess what? The next day the package from PCGS was delivered by USPS, but it was not acknowledged by USPS until the next day after having been delivered to me.
That is your government working for you.

Also, there is a delivery confirmation number which can, at times , provide additional information.
Oct 4th and 5th Shipping, I would not worry.

The name is LEE!
It was saying only that the shipping information was recieved but never showed as in transit. It did arrive just fine though, guess it depends on if it gets scanned or not along the way.
